FanDome, Broadband Enterprises, Make A Team

Publish Date: October 1st, 2008

FanDome, the largest sports video community on the web, and Broadband Enterprises, Inc., the premier digital video network, are teaming up.

Under the terms of the agreement, Broadband Enterprises Inc. will make FanDome’s library of 33,000 professional and amateur sports videos available for syndication over BBE’s network of over 2,000 websites.

BBE will also help FanDome monetize FanDome’s sports video library by providing pre-and overlay video advertising from BBE’s stable of Top 200 advertisers. Revenues generated will be divided among advertisers, content providers and BBE.

Additionally, BBE will contextually distribute FanDome’s video programming to pages across the FanDome social network by utilizing BBE’s Contextual Distribution Engine (CDE), which targets key words, phrases and other HTML objects to draw out available video most relevant to the page and information being sought out. FanDome’s social network for sports enthusiasts reaches an estimated 100,000 unique users in its first month and allows fans to upload homegrown sports videos onto the network for viewing by others.

“Like a baseball manager looking for a ‘five-tool player,’ we felt Broadband Enterprises had the whole package: superior reach, A-list advertisers, cutting-edge technology and a reputation for all-star teamwork that is second to none. This is the right move for FanDome,” saidTony Andrea, Managing Director of Fandome.

“FanDome is the premier digital sports video community with a fine selection of professional and amateur video content and a following of 18-34 year-old sports enthusiasts that is without peer. This is a highly sought, difficult-to-reach audience and we’re glad to bring it to our network and advertisers via FandDome,” said Bryon Evje, President of Technology for BBE.

The agreement takes effect beginning October 1, 2008.
