VINDICO™ Cookie Opt-Out

Updated: December 11, 2009

VINDICO Group is devoted to protecting a user’s privacy and options while navigating online. For this reason we offer the user an “opt-out cookie” that allows the VINDICO Group to prevent data association with the browser. If you, the user, selects to opt-out of the VINDICO cookie, a VINDICO Group “opt-out cookie” will be written to your computer. This cookie will let us know that you have chosen to not allow VINDICO Group cookies to be written to your computer. Please note that without that cookie, we will have no way to identify that you, the user, have opted-out. It is important that we store this “opt-out cookie on your computer so that we can identify you as an opt-out user. The “opt-out cookie” will be in effect for the life of your browser or until you manually delete the cookie file from your hard drive. To summarize, the decision to opt-out simply prevents data from being associated with the user’s browser.

You currently have a Vindico Group cookie of the form: id=userid, where user ID is a unique ID number. If you chose to opt-out below, the system will re-assign the cookie to be: id=optout.

Some private networks may use proprietary technology to not allow third party advertisers the ability to write cookies or the user to opt-out. This type of network would be defined as any subscription based service that is not directly connected to the Internet. If you are a subscriber or user of one of these private networks, you should review the service provider’s terms and conditions regarding their privacy policy.
